Autumn Again

Autumn is here again.  It's that bittersweet time of year when the season changes from the dog days of summer to cold weather in the blink of an eye.  I wonder why the seasons we treasure fly by so fast?  I am inspired by all the colors, and it shows in my projects.  I am midway through the first of two projects for Crochet! magazine that will be published in the September 2011 issue.  Although I can't say what they are, I can say that they are very much inspired by the colors of the season.  I can't wait to get what is in my head out as a finished project for everyone to see!

I unloaded the kiln the other day and added to the large collection of pots on the shelf that need glaze.  Ah, there are so many projects and so little time.  The pots will have to wait until the other projects are finished.  I am planning a large glazing party for the winter.  I need to clone myself to get everything done that is in my head!  What a problem to have!

This poor neglected blog needs more updates.  I always hear that people want artists to update their blogs on a regular basis.  I have decided I can't be a full time artist, full time wife, full time cook, and full time housekeeper and write in a blog on a regular basis.  So......It is seasonal (or perhaps a little more often) updates for me!  It isn't that I don't have anything to say about my work or what inspires me, it is just a problem to find the time to write it!  One of my favorite art professors once said, "If you are really looking at the world around you, really observing and experimenting, you will run out of time before you run out of ideas."  This couldn't be more true!

I will post some of my work sometime soon, until then you have to see me on Ravelry or Flickr!
